Welcome To Bark Park!

We are a 2- acre off-leash dog park dedicated to provide all of our canine friends a safe and fun place to play. Dog Parks are incredibly beneficial as they help socialize your dogs with other dogs and people, making them much better canine citizens!  Whether a local or a visitor to our area, you and your canine companions are welcome.

We are located on J D Miller Road just off Highway 98, one block west of the 331 and 98 intersection. Turn north and the park is on the right just across the street from the electrical transfer station.  For safety, and to enhance your dogs’ fun, there is a Little Dogs area and a Big Dogs area.

TRAINING YOUR DOG

Canine Carnival

Bark Park will have a great booth at Canine Carnival!

Blue skies, cool autumn breezes and the scent of the sea will create the perfect backdrop for the Alaqua Animal Refuge Canine Carnival to be held Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach.

A variety of activities for all age groups will keep the fun going all day long.  The kids can enjoy bouncy boxing, a bungee run, 5 in 1 kids bounce house, a crabwalk and a money grab, all for just a $5.00 participation fee.  If you like contests, you’ll love taking part in the pet look alike competition, the best pet costume challenge, stupid pet tricks, homeliest dog, and the six legged race.  Test your canine savvy and win a prize by correctly guessing the breed of Lilylegs, our mystery dog.  For those of you with a more sedate temperament, the silent auction will provide you with the opportunity to bid on some awesome items such as golf packages, a two night stay at a Resort Quest property and gift cards, just to name a few.  To add to the carnival atmosphere, beach music will fill the air all day and will include a noontime performance by Dean Sadowski, as well as Coconut Radio late in the afternoon.

Bring your family, friends and canine companions for the blessing of the animals and all the carnival capers.  You’ll have a chance to meet some of our Alaqua family members, and maybe even find a new four legged friend to take home and love.  Representatives from rescue groups will be attending, including PAWS, Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue, NWF Great Dane Rescue, Crestview Kitties and MORE!

Come one, come all!  Not only will you have a wonderful time,  you’ll also be offering your support to Alaqua Animal Refuge, the only no kill shelter in our area.

Bark Park is operated by Bark Park Inc., a non-profit corporation. We need your support through memberships, donations, sponsorships, and volunteer time, so that we can continue to keep Bark Park open and safe; your dogs will thank you!

Volunteers Needed

Interested in volunteering to help the Bark Park at events, membership drives or with clean up. Call Spike on (850) 267-3936 . We are looking for volunteers to help keep the park maintained.

Pet Butler Florida provides Pet Waste Cleanup services to our park each week. They are “Picking up” an unbeliavable amount of dog doo. Pet Butler only “SCOOP” once per week, so if you do not pick up the waste can be on the ground for almost a week.  Please pick up after your pet. Pet Butler provides Pet Waste Stations and Poop Bags so you are not without the necessary tools. Be a responsible Dog Owner. Help keep our park clean.

Canine training Academy

Bark Park Canine Training Academy now has obedience classes scheduleed to commence October 11th on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. To register for a class see our Training  Academy Page.
