Spring will be here before you know it, and chances are you’ll be itching to enjoy the warm days with your four-legged family members. So now’s the time to tune up your training skills and get your pup used to socializing politely in public! DogSmith of Florida’s Emerald Coast is offering several classes beginning in the next few weeks in Panama City, Panama City Beach, Walton County and Fort Walton Beach. The DogSmith uses positive training techniques, and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and of the International Positive Dog Trainers Association (IPDTA).
The DogSmith of the Emerald Coast has more than a dozen free seminars and group classes available, ranging from puppy socialization and Canine Communication to even Grumpy Dog classes (for dogs that don’t always act nicely toward other dogs when out in public). Never Fear, Under Dogs is here, and they are teaming up with The DogSmith to provide a selection of dog training classes for Okaloosa County residents. Destin Under Dogs in partnership with The DogSmith, a national franchise in dog training, pet sitting and dog walking, have teamed up to provide Under Dogs with a comprehensive dog training program to help support their rescue organization and the four legged community of Okaloosa County. The classes are available to all residents of the panhandle and will include Small Paw Etiquette for puppies (up to 8 months old) and Teen Dog Etiquette (teen dogs are from 8 months to 2 years old). The classes will be held at Under Dogs, inside Eclectic Imports located at 90 Mary Esther Blvd. in Mary Esther, FL. The DogSmith offers discounted rates to dogs rescued or adopted from local shelters to support its vision of supporting and assisting animal shelters and rescue organizations to minimize the number of unwanted animals. The first classes begin on March 10th 2009.
