Canine CarnivalCanine Carnival 2009

Bark Park will have a great booth at Canine Carnival 2009!
Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach

Blue skies, cool autumn breezes and the scent of the sea will create the perfect backdrop for the Alaqua Animal Refuge Canine Carnival to be held Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach.

A variety of activities for all age groups will keep the fun going all day long.  The kids can enjoy bouncy boxing, a bungee run, 5 in 1 kids bounce house, a crabwalk and a money grab, all for just a $5.00 participation fee.  If you like contests, you'll love taking part in the pet look alike competition, the best pet costume challenge, stupid pet tricks, homeliest dog, and the six legged race.  Test your canine savvy and win a prize by correctly guessing the breed of Lilylegs, our mystery dog.  For those of you with a more sedate temperament, the silent auction will provide you with the opportunity to bid on some awesome items such as golf packages, a two night stay at a Resort Quest property and gift cards, just to name a few.  To add to the carnival atmosphere, beach music will fill the air all day and will include a noontime performance by Dean Sadowski, as well as Coconut Radio late in the afternoon.

Bring your family, friends and canine companions for the blessing of the animals and all the carnival capers.  You'll have a chance to meet some of our Alaqua family members, and maybe even find a new four legged friend to take home and love.  Representatives from rescue groups will be attending, including PAWS, Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue, NWF Great Dane Rescue, Crestview Kitties and MORE!

Come one, come all!  Not only will you have a wonderful time,  you'll also be offering your support to Alaqua Animal Refuge, the only no kill shelter in our area.
